Promoting fencing sport across Kildare and Laois since 2022
Mr. Child Fencing Club was established in 2022 with a clear mission: to promote the exciting sport of fencing across Kildare and Laois areas. We believe that fencing is more than just a sport - it's a way to develop mental acuity, physical fitness, and personal discipline.
Fencing is one of six famous Olympic martial arts sports, alongside boxing, judo, karate, taekwondo, and wrestling. The lightning-fast actions and strategic thinking required make it both fascinating to watch and incredibly rewarding to practice.
Our club specializes in Épée fencing, which evolved from the French small sword. Épée has the simplest rules of the three fencing weapons - the entire body is a valid target, and there is no right of way priority. With fewer rules involved, fencers can focus more on technique and strategy.
Mr. Child Fencing Club is a registered nonprofit organization in Ireland. All proceeds are reinvested into supporting our fencing programs, club activities, and community outreach initiatives.
We provide individual and group training for fencers of all experience levels, from complete beginners to Olympic candidates. Our experienced coaches are certified by the Irish Fencing Federation and are committed to creating a safe, enjoyable, and challenging environment for all our members.
We welcome all age groups with dedicated junior classes (8-17 years) and adult classes (18+). Our club offers a variety of training programs, arranges tournaments for members, and hosts social events throughout the year.
